The Eye

The Eye…of the storm, a striking aesthetic intervention at the heart of the Dubai Design District, was designed in collaboration with Syrian fashion designer Rami Al Ali. The permanent installation combines public art and urban amenity in a vortex of vivid yellow steel profiles, creating variations in visibility while permitting air to circulate freely. The lightweight, lattice-like skin spirals out from a central gathering space, incorporating a perimeter bench that is naturally shaded by the enveloping structure.
